The Advantages of a Windows 7 Computer

The Microsoft Windows 7 PCs are definitely the big in-thing at the moment when it comes to computers. But what is all the boasting about? Well, this is simply because the processing and task capabilities of Windows 7 are much greater than any of the other previous Microsoft operating system releases which has made the Windows 7 computers the preferred choice for home users, offices and even large businesses. The advantages of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system are very broad. For example, you have desktop gadgets (currency convertor, calculator, games etc), easier and quicker network access, quicker file access, you can create and easily share own made videos and much more. It's because of these things that everyone is now taking advantage of the Windows 7 operating system.
One of the best advantages of Windows 7 PCs for entertainment users is the Windows media center which allows you to record live TV and watch free internet TV. This has not been done with any operating systems until now and just shows how powerful Windows 7 PCs really are.
The cost of the Windows operating systems depends entirely on which version you want. You can buy Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate with Home Premium being the cheapest and Windows Ultimate being the most expensive. The reason for the price difference is due to the fact that each version contains different applications and processing abilities. If you are unsure as to which version you should choose then you should search around for more help, however, it's pretty basic. Home Premium is for home use, Professional is for office computer and Ultimate is the full package which many offices and businesses are using.
If you are running a network at your home or in the office then Windows 7 PCs are definitely recommended. Network setup and access is very easy, most of which is automatic so you don't need to use as much effort as the previous releases of Microsoft Windows such as XP and Vista. When setting up a network on Windows 7 PCs, the other great advantage is that there is a firewall to block against any application access and hacking attempts. Previous releases of the Microsoft operating systems also had firewalls, however, the protection is certainly not as good.
If you are a gamer, then the Windows 7 computer is for you. The processing capabilities will really blow you away! Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself!

Internet Explorer Error - How to Fix Internet Explorer Errors?

Got an Internet Explorer error? And now, let me guess... You want to fix the Internet Explorer errors that are affecting you, right? These errors can be caused by 2 things. Or, a file is missing, or a file is broken. But, how to get this back to normal again?
How To The Fix Internet Explorer Error?
Once you notice that your explorer is giving errors, you can only fix it by one way... Get yourself a recover and repair program. A program like this basically scans your computer for missing or broken files and you simply select the "repair problem" button and the Internet Explorer error will be fixed. This process takes around 15 minutes, which isn't long because the program will scan your whole computer.
How Will The Recover And Repair Program Fix The Internet Explorer Error?
A program like this is the most easiest program that you can have. The only thing that you need to do, are 2 things: First of all, you need to start the scanning process. This process will scan your computer and look for viruses, worms, errors, broken files, missing files, pop-ups and cookies.
Eventually after 10 minutes, the scan will be done. What you need to do next, is to select the problem categories that you want to repair or remove, and you select repair problems. Once you've done that, it will repair the broken files and it will recover the missing files and it will remove the viruses, worms and other spyware.
Will A Recover And Repair Program Damage My Computer?
This is a question that I get a lot and the answer is no. This is a program that's developed to fix your computer and all of it's problems, not to harm it. It will remove viruses, worms, pop-ups, cookies and it will recover missing files and it will repair the broken files also.
So, to get the Internet Explorer error fixed, you got to have the Registry Easy program. This way, you will be able to scan your computer for errors, and to fix the errors.

Mozilla to ship 'Metro-ized' Firefox Dec. 10

Mozilla will launch Firefox for Microsoft's Windows 8 "Modern" user interface in mid-December, more than a year after the operating system's launch, according to the open-source developer's planning documents.

Called the "Preview Release," the touch-ready browser will be packaged with Firefox 26 for the Windows desktop. Firefox 26 is slated to ship Dec. 10.
Work on the browser -- a so-called "Metro-ized" version of Firefox -- will continue up until release, Mozilla said in notes from a planning meeting Wednesday published on its website.
Before the final release of Firefox 26, Mozilla will pair the Modern version with the browser's "Aurora" and "Beta" channel builds, which are to release Sept. 16 and Oct. 28, respectively. At each step, Mozilla will quash bugs and possibly respond to user feedback with changes.
Mozilla started work on a Modern edition of Firefox, one that would run in the user interface (UI) once known as Metro, more than a year ago. The open-source developer released a rough preview in October 2012, several weeks before Microsoft shipped Windows 8.
At the time, Mozilla's schedule claimed that the Firefox app might appear as early as January 2013. In May, the company said its developers would complete Firefox for Modern between Oct. 2, 2013, and March 20, 2014, with mid-November the likeliest date.
Third-party browser makers face unique hurdles in Windows 8. Only the default browser -- which is set by the user -- can run in the Modern UI; during setup, Windows 8 assigns Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) as the default browser; when Windows 8.1 ships in October, IE11 will be set as the default.
Even so, Mozilla has said it's important that it have a Modern browser app to remain competitive. Google, for instance, has had a Windows 8 Modern version of Chrome since June 2012.
Windows RT, the touch-only spin-off designed for tablets, is a different story. Unlike Windows 8, Windows RT bars all third-party developers from accessing the limited "desktop" mode; only Microsoft's programmers can call the APIs there, which they do to power much of the Modern version of IE on the tablet OS.
A year ago Mozilla accused Microsoft of anticompetitive behavior by purposefully blocking others from building browsers that could effectively compete with IE10 on Windows RT. That may be moot at this point, as Windows RT has struggled even more than its bigger brother, Windows 8, and increasingly looks moribund at best, a bad bet by Microsoft at worst.

Microsoft warns the end is near for Windows XP

In just one year, on April 8, 2014, Microsoft will stop delivering security updates for Windows XP, the second most popular operating system in the world. Microsoft issued several blog posts Monday urging businesses to get out before it was too late.
“You should take action to move off of Windows XP,” Microsoft said Monday. “After April 8, 2014, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates.” Most XP support for regular consumers ended in 2009, although security updates continue to roll in. But not for long.
If you continue to run Windows XP on your PC, Microsoft says you’re on your own in just under a year. You can probably keep XP going with a good anti-virus package, but that will only protect you from known threats.
Should the worst happen and hackers uncover a particularly nasty zero day flaw that lets the bad guys take over your PC, don’t look to Microsoft for help because the company is moving on. And like it or not, you probably should too.
Windows XP was a great OS. Well, Windows XP after Service Pack 2 was a great OS, but it’s last call for Clippy and the search dog. So zip your folders and get that briefcase off your desktop, because it’s almost time to leave.

The XP Herd

Despite an initial debut nearly 12 years ago and three major iterations of Windows since then, Windows XP continues to be widely used.
NetMarketShare
Market shares for major operating systems
Worldwide, XP is second only to Windows 7 in terms of usage with 38.73 percent of the worldwide operating system market share, according to metrics firm NetMarketShare.
Windows 7 claims 44.73 percent, while Vista and Windows 8 combined account for just over 8 percent of worldwide usage.
The staying power of XP has been remarkable for an industry where something that is three years old is considered out of date and five years ago is ancient history.
XP’s longevity can be traced back to Microsoft’s struggles with Windows Vista. Back when Vista was known by its codename Longhorn, Microsoft struggled to develop the OS and Longhorn’s official release kept getting pushed further and further back. When Longhorn finally did emerge as Vista in 2007, consumer and business reaction to the new OS was roundly negative. Microsoft then rushed Windows 7 out the door in 2009, and the Vista debacle was largely forgotten.
Even when Windows 7 emerged, however, many businesses stayed put on XP. Oft-cited reasons for the business world’s reluctance to move on include custom software that only runs on XP and the prohibitive hardware and software costs of migrating to a new OS.
Many home users also refuse to dump XP arguing that upgrading is unnecessary when they still have a perfectly good PC, not to mention personal preference for Microsoft’s aging OS. PCWorld readers staying true to XP can be summed up best by OmeCoatl8elr who said in late 2011, “You can pry my XP from my cold, dead hands.”

Internet Explorer App Crash Fix

Sadly, the latest versions of IE are suffering from the weakness of crashing while the user is surfing the internet.
The critics reported that Internet Explorer app crashes without any reason while the user tries to open a website or download something from the internet. To stop Internet Explorer app crash, you have to attempt the following steps:
1. Turn unnecessary extensions off
2. Correct the registry entries of IE
3. Reset the default settings
4. Disable third-party toolbars
5. Clear the Corrupted IE Cache Files
Turn Unnecessary Extensions Off
Extensions include the add-ons that you had installed for improving your internet experience. As default, only limited numbers of add-ons are installed.
However, while surfing on the internet, we sometimes install the third-party add-ons from a number of websites. Some of them if are incompatible with your system, or functioning improperly results in Internet Explorer app crash. Thus, you have to find such malfunctioning add-ons, and disable them.
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools | Manage Add-Ons.
3. Select All Add-Ons option from Show drop down box.
4. Disable the unwanted add-ons, and then click Close button.
5. Restart IE for the changes to take effects.
Correct the Registry Entries of IE
Internet Explorer app crashes by the bad and corrupted registry entries. Thus it is important to ensure the state of registry regularly and correct the inappropriate entries.
Two ways of repairing the registry:
1. Automatic Repair
2. Manual Repair
Automatic Repair
No need to have an expertise in the field of registry fixing if you are planning to use a registry cleaner software. Select a genuine registry cleaner software recommended by the worldwide experts and click System Cleaner | Start Scan.
Manual Repair
I do not recommend this option. Instead, I recommend using a registry cleaner software.
Registry repairing is not a simple task and may make your computer unstable if wrong modifications are done. If you have an expertise and proper knowledge of finding and repairing the registry junk, you can manually resolve this error.
1. Open Registry Editor, by clicking Start, then typing RegEdit and pressing ENTER.
2. There are mainly two registry hives where IE stores its configurations, viz:
i. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
ii. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
3. Navigate the two registry hives mentioned above, and resolve the problems automatically.
Reset the Default Settings
Sometimes Internet Explorer app crashes if it is not properly set-up. You shall restore it back to the default settings to resolve this problem.
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools | Internet Option | Advanced | Reset.
3. Check up the box named Delete personal settings, and then click Reset button.
Disable Third-Party Toolbars
Latest free software programs come with third-party toolbars for your web browsers. Most of them are unnecessary and create pain by making new problems. Internet Explorer app crashes if the installed toolbars are not properly working or taking so much time to load their controls.
I suggested disabling the third-party toolbars as below:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click View | Toolbars.
3. Uncheck the third-party toolbars.
Clear the Corrupted IE Cache Files
A web browser cache is a directory, or a folder having stored copies of the most recently visited websites for optimizing the internet performance. Internet Explorer app crashes by the corrupted cache contents.
You can clear the cache as mentioned below:
1. Install a third-party PC Optimizer product offering a built-in system cleaner included.
2. Mark the check box named Cache as checked from the Internet Explorer frame.
3. Click System Cleaner | Clean.

This stop error denotes that there has been a serious system crash, and you need to take some steps to avoid future problems. Here are some ways of dealing with the stop error, so you will not have to experience it very often. Getting a top quality registry cleaner software is one of the ways of dealing with this problem quickly.
Stop errors occur when drivers, software applications, or computer hardware experiences problems. This conflict will cause your computer system to no longer respond. Make sure that you read the entire message on the screen as it may provide information for your solution.
Stop errors can be very frustrating as they usually occur without warning. This is why it is a good idea to save your work frequently, and if you have auto save features on software programs, use them. When you get the Windows XP blue screen of death, your system is no longer functioning and you will lose any unsaved data on your computer.
As your computer may sometimes crash, you should remember to back up your system at least once a month. Also, whenever you install any new software or hardware, run system restore and create a restore point. Label your new restore point as conditions before installation.
If you are installing a software B program, you could label the restore point as "pre-software B installation". If you experience crashes, you can take your computer back in time with system restore. This can help to eliminate any kind of software conflicts or problems and it may eliminate stop errors.
Some people simply reboot their computer when they get a stop error message. However, this is not a good idea as the error means that you have a serious problem somewhere. One of the best things to do in these situations is to use registry cleaner software applications. There are many of these programs available and they will scan your computer for all kinds of errors.
You may have errors in your registry and be unaware of them. For example, when you delete programs, you do not delete instructions to your system in the registry. In time, you can have all kinds of unnecessary files in your system. This can slow down your computer and make it slow to boot up and shut down. A good registry cleaning software application will remove all of these unneeded files. Some of these programs are available as shareware applications. However, most of the trial programs have limited features and will not clean your entire registry.
If you are having problems with the dreaded Windows XP blue screen of death, it is not a good idea to ignore it and reboot your system. This error message is to inform you that a serious system crash has occurred. Always back up your files and use auto save features. When you install new programs, create a new system restore point. Protect Your Internet Experience and AOL Mail From Cyber Stalkers

The World Wide Web is a fantastic tool for individuals to research and learn about an endless number of subjects, as there are many different websites that you can browse through that have some very informative information. It is also a great place to meet new friends that share common interests, get in touch with relatives that you have lost contact with, it can be a work environment, and it can also be a place to have an endless world of fun and excitement. With all of the positive aspects that can be found on the Internet, there is also a downfall. Unfortunately there are numerous cyber stalkers that lurk in many different places on the web, hiding in wait to find a victim to stalk and harass. There are times that individuals are stalked by complete strangers they do not know, but then there are also times that victims receive continuous emails with harassing messages and scary threats by someone that they do know.
Of course the authorities should be notified and a police report should be filed as soon as possible when this is a problem that happens to you, but there is also something else that you can do to stop the activities of cyber stalkers. Contacting an expert that performs reverse email look-ups is a step in the right direction that can provide you with detailed information on exactly who the individual is that seems to be fixated on your messengers and your AOL email account. You can learn the person's full name, the phone number they use as a contact number, the address where they live, and many other pieces of helpful information that will give the authorities everything they need to catch the stalker and identify them.
There are several other procedures that can take several days, or even several months before individuals are able to obtain the data being retrieved. However, with a reverse email look-up, most people only have to wait about 24 hours before the investigator provides them with complete detailed information on the cyber stalker. With cases that are much more in depth, it can sometimes takes around two weeks before you are provided with the information to identify the person who has been causing you so much frustration and fear.
When cyber stalkers are out on the prowl and they have targeted you as a victim of their uncontrollable desires to threaten and harass, filling your email inbox every single day with unwanted messages, contact a professional to perform a reverse email trace.

You do not have to buy a new computer or spend hundreds on costly upgrades. What you need to do is simply tweak your system in order to maximize it's efficiency. I will show you how in this article.
A slow internet explorer startup is caused from the computers inability to effectively communicate information. When you start a program or conduct an action, information is sent through the computer from the hardware to the software. When Internet Explorer is running slow, this means that there is a blockage in the communication lines.
So where is the breakdown in this communication? It occurs in the Windows registry. The Windows registry is one of the most vital and sensitive areas in your computer. The registry serves as the intermediary for communication between software and hardware on your computer.
The older your computer gets, the more clogged and congested the registry gets. The folder gets filled with redundant, corrupt, and broken files that simply slow your computer down considerably. This is also one of the major causes for an Internet Explorer slow startup.

How to Make Your Mozilla Firefox Browser Secure

Your internet\web browser is a medium for you to connect to the internet or online world. On the other hand, it is also a medium for those online threats like Trojans, viruses, spyware, spam, fake free online virus removal software (which are threats themselves ) etc. to slip in to your computer.
Considering the risk of rising online threats, privacy infringements, and data\identity thefts etc., it should be your priority to safeguard your web browser. How you can do this is explained here in this article. This free Mozilla Firefox support guide will help you tighten the security noose around your Mozilla Firefox browser and prevent malware, phishing, spam etc. from intruding in to your computer.
Procedure:
Mozilla Firefox -
If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your web browser, check these instructions to make it secure. Open Mozilla Firefox from the desktop shortcut. Alternatively, you can open it from the Start button, All Programs. Click the Tools tab and point down to select Options. Depending on the type of your Firefox version, the first tab you will see will either be General or Main. Under this tab, look for the Always ask me where to save files option.
This option will be disabled by default. Instead the Save Files to option will be set by default to the Downloads folder or any other default directory. You will need to select the Always ask me where to save files option. It will enable you to have more control on the downloadable items that will seek for your permission before being automatically downloaded to the Downloads or any other location in your computer.
Now click the Privacy tab. look for the Remember What I enter in forms and the search bar option. This will enabled by default. You will need to disable this option. To do so, click to uncheck the box beside this option. Depending on your Firefox version, you may see Remember search and form history instead of Remember What I enter in forms and the search bar. Uncheck this option and move on to the next option which is Accept cookies from sites.
This option will be enabled. From the drop-down menu next to Keep until, you will see the default option set to they expire. This means that your browser is set to remember and keep all the cookies (small files that keep track of your online activities) until they expire. Now you can understand that this can be very dangerous, at least in case of phishing, malware websites that create and roll out malicious add-ons, virus, malware software, fake online virus removal software, malware removal software etc. Cookies of these websites track and collect your online activities and personal information for their own advantage.
Thus, set this option to enable the user permission. Click the drop-down arrow next to Keep until and select ask me every time. From the next time onwards, whenever you will open a website, Firefox will seek your permission to either allow or deny cookies to run on that webpage. You must download the Firefox version of all these plug-ins.
Besides, use an antivirus program that scans and protects your Firefox browser from different tracking cookies, malicious websites, malicious scripts, spam add-ons etc. A number of antivirus programs like McAfee have a site-scan feature that proactively warns you about a website's genuineness and maliciousness.
Besides these settings, you must download and install latest browser updates and patches whenever these are available. Though Firefox always prompts you to download install whenever an update is available, but you can also manually download them from the Firefox website. Choose what suits you best, but do install latest updates.

This is why McAfee antivirus is such a boon to the owners of PCs and laptops.
Users having infected PCs and laptops can face a number of difficult situations which can pose a problem in the path of their productivity. Such issues could be repeatedly rebooting of the computer on its own, applications not responding properly, browser refusing to open, speed of PC or laptop becoming very slow, frequent hanging of the PC, spam mail being sent to the contact list without the knowledge of the user and so on. Such problems need to be attended to at the earliest by professionals who have good experience as well as knowledge regarding the subject so that the system is back in its health and works in an optimum manner.

AOL Support That You Can Count On

As a technical support expert, I'm bombarded by a plethora of questions about computer support as well as email support. People tell me about past problems they faced with their computers and email and the time it took to fix those issues. They ask me a lot of questions related to AOL Support as this is the service most of them use. The most prominent question the ask me about AOL technical support is about how is online technical support better than traditional tech support and the free support provided by the manufacturers or service provider's official support pages?
I always advise them to check out the official AOL help and support page before they ask for any help since this form of support is completely free of cost. The official AOL support page has a list of issues that are commonly faced by its users. A quick search should bring you to a text guide that provides step by step instructions on how to resolve an issue on your own. The only problem with this form of technical support is that they require you to be a little bit familiar with technical terms.
If you aren't too familiar with technical terms and require AOL support that is a bit more 'hands on', you could take your computer all the way to a service centre or call a repair technician to come over to your place. This ensures that you will get quality AOL support from skilled experts. The drawback with this form of support is that it is usually quite expensive and it isn't very quick. If you run into an issue with AOL and require technical support late at night, then you will have to wait until morning to get it resolved.
Online technical support is a quick and convenient way of resolving issues. When you call up a technical support company, you will be received by a tech support expert with many years of experience at providing email support. These specialists are hired after a thorough selection process and have to partake in mandatory training and refresher courses to make sure that they are familiar with the latest in the world of technology.
These companies use the latest remote access technology to help you out. Remote access software allows the tech support expert to temporarily gain access to your computer so that he or she can analyze and resolve the issue as if he or she were physically present at your location. While they are busy fixing your computer, you are free to do whatever you want.
Online technical support offers you easy and convenient tech support at a fraction of the cost you would have been charged if a repair technician were to come over to your house.

Why McAfee Slows Down My Computer

McAfee is a great antivirus solution when it comes to protecting your computer from viruses, Trojans, worms, data or identity theft programs. However, you may experience a slowdown issue when surfing the internet, checking emails, or navigating from one program to another. Slowdown can occur due to multiple reasons explained below in the McAfee antivirus support guide. The guide will also help you fix some of the common McAfee antivirus issues that slow down your PC.
Instructions:
If you have Low computer memory (RAM), you may experience a slowdown in your computer when McAfee antivirus installs updates, patches etc. Often, such problem occurs in an old computer that has low RAM. To get rid of the slowdown problem, add a new RAM stick to your computer. In other words, upgrade its hardware.
If your internet connection is slow, it may take more than ever for McAfee to run a virus scan, download and install latest updates, or do real-time scanning. So, if you are doing something on your computer like browsing the internet or checking emails while McAfee is running in the background, you may face a slowdown problem. Contact your ISP and ask for a high-speed broadband connection. Besides, let McAfee run virus scans or updates when the computer is idle. Yes, if the computer is sitting idle, launch McAfee and have it update or run a virus scan.
If you have another antivirus program on your computer along with McAfee, it can cause your computer to slow down terribly. It is because two antivirus programs always conflict with each other as they try to fetch files simultaneously for your computer. You must always uninstall the other antivirus program to make sure that McAfee runs peacefully and properly on your computer.
If you have a built-in firewall in your McAfee antivirus program (a newer McAfee version comes with built-in firewall), it may cause issue with your internet connection. If you have another firewall program installed on your computer, disable the McAfee firewall. It will help improve your internet connection speed, making your browsing faster.
Sometimes a poorly-written McAfee update can also be responsible for decelerating your computer's speed. If you have narrowed down to check that it's not a program or your computer which is causing the slowdown, uninstall the McAfee update. If you don't know how uninstall a McAfee update, restore your computer to an earlier time. It may undo any recent changes like a software install you made to your computer. You always have the option to reinstall the software.
Additional Tips:
Your web browser also makes a difference to the browsing speed. For example, Mozilla Firefox and Chrome are faster web browsers than the Internet Explorer. In case the problem persists, contact a McAfee antivirus support service.

Windows XP to Be Discontinued

In just over 24 months, Microsoft will discontinue support of the Windows XP operating system. In a recent post on the windowsteamblog.com, Stephen L. Rose reminded us all of the short amount of time remaining in the XP life span. There, you will also find tools and tips on planning your company's migration from XP to Windows 7. For the everyday user, Windows XP has already been almost entirely replaced by Windows 7, but the extended support for commercial customers ends in 2014. At that point, there will no longer be any patches or updates coming from Microsoft. This will be the cue for malware writers to speed up production on viruses aimed at the soon to be derelict OS. Windows had previously extended support for XP once before, but the likelihood of that happening again is very small. Recommendations coming from Microsoft professionals strongly suggest that the time to transition to Windows 7 is now.
As mentioned above, Microsoft is doing what it can to aid in the transition. For Microsoft Enterprise customers they offer a free online deployment kit and expert advice (contact your company's Microsoft representative for more information). For small and medium-sized customers, similar services are available. Contacting a Microsoft Certified Partner to assist with deployment is the best way to begin. You'll need to test your system for compatibility, and if everything is ready for an upgrade to Windows 7, you'll be able to purchase the new OS from a Microsoft retailer and move forward with your migration. Some third-party companies have virtualization environments designed to make Windows XP software run as long as possible. But both will be available for a limited time only, and once discontinued, running XP will become more complex and cost prohibitive. Additionally, IT teams will have to manage the risks associated with running an unsupported OS.
Many companies have already gotten started on the planning and execution of a transition plan. But what about the companies who have been waiting to get started on the switch? There isn't much time left to wait. Some companies have been avoiding the transition, thinking the encouragement from Microsoft to begin migrating sooner rather than later, are an attempt to promote sales of the Windows 7 OS. This is truly unfortunate, made even more so by the trouble teams who have waited are likely to encounter as the looming deadline rapidly approaches. There is so much help coming out of Microsoft to ease their customers through the sometimes painful transition there is no excuse for waiting any longer.

Microsoft Outlook: How to Set Your Account

It has been recently reported that Microsoft Outlook has more than 400 million active accounts. Given the number of users who use it, Microsoft Outlook houses a host of tiny annoyances for users. These include the revelation of identity when replying to a blind carbon copy or BCC mail, inability to send individual mails to a group on Outlook and the inability to send mail from a different e-mail account of a different service provider.
Recently, Microsoft announced a new feature for users who look forward to send e-mails from other accounts in Outlook.com. Previously, when a user sent an e-mail from Outlook there was no way to hide the Outlook.com account it originated from. However, with the present updates in Outlook, e-mails can be sent from other accounts that look as if they were sent from a different e-mail service provider such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Hotmail.
Using BCC feature:
The Microsoft Outlook account has to be set manually for these features to function. Explore the settings and go to more mail settings. Clicking on "Your email accounts" from the "Managing your account" section opens up a window where you can make a lot of changes to your account setting. Proceed to "Add an email account and click on the "Add a send-and-receive account" button. Enter a valid e-mail address and its corresponding password, then click Next. After logging in to another e-mail account with Outlook, all you have to do is choose a new folder or an existing one to save your mails in. Click "Save" to implement the changes you have made. After adding the other e-mail account, while composing a new message, you can click on your name to open a drop-down list of other e-mail addresses that you can use in the place of your Outlook account.
Another glitch that users commonly face is the process of addition or removal of Bcc to or from an email. It can be done by accessing an email message and on the Options tab in the Show Fields group, click on Bcc to reveal all the addresses that you have added. Add the addresses you want to send the mail to and that's it. Also, while delivering a message to multiple people, if you want to hide all recipient's email address, simply click Bcc in the top right area of your compose window and enter those email addresses which you don't want recipients to see.
Add-on programs for Outlook:
You can also utilize the various add-on programs available for Outlook. Many such add-on programs have been designed by Mike Perry who recognizes the various glitches of Outlook and prepares remedies for them. The program is ideal while sending personalized emails to a group, but it does not have an advanced reporting feature. The program allows substitution of defined variables contained on the contact tab's General or Detail tabs.
Personalize E-mails:
Users can also personalize the e-mails and how they want it to be seen by the receiver. It is done by using the Substitute command. Users can use the substitute command to program Outlook to use the value a contact shows for a First Name. If that field is blank, Outlook will automatically use the substitute word instead. Other default texts can be chosen or it can even be left blank altogether. This similar structure can be used to substitute other defined variables also. The protocol for doing this is: Dear [Substitute: First Name, Default: "friends"]. It is a fairly simple command that makes a world of difference.
Explore the settings tab of Outlook. You can also access the help and support page in case of any doubts. Remember, it's okay to make a few mistakes as long as you can learn from them.

Firefox has got integration with Google, Wikipedia and also other applications. It has a built in PDF viewer which is very useful in reading PDF files. The major advantage of using this browser is that, it provides better security, download resume options, Parental controls and mouse gestures. The new advanced download manager of Firefox is the best of its kind.
Cons:
One of the biggest problem with Firefox is that, it uses more of system memory than any other application. Although the webpages are loaded fast, the start-up time for the browser is too long. The user needs to wait for certain time before the browser is opened. It lacks certain features such as client side tracking which are found in other browsers. Firefox doesn't have built in flash viewer and it is not possible to view pages instantly. Also Firefox doesn't provide certain HTML 5 features. The browser doesn't support voice interaction features. The browser scores when it comes to speed and security but lacks in ease of use. The browser has separate address bar and search bar which confuses the user at times. Many of the modern browsers don't feature both as in Firefox. It is an old fashioned way and Firefox needs to change it.

Fake Microsoft Security Essentials Alert Virus - How To Remove This Fraud From Your PC

The Fake Microsoft Security Essentials Virus is a newly released infection which is continually installing itself on 1,000's of computers around the World in order to try and con you into both buying the fake upgrade to the program, as well as stealing your personal details. Although this virus may look legitimate (it's been designed to try and mimic the real Microsoft Security Essentials program), it should not be trusted. Fortunately, you should be able to remove this virus quite easily by using the tutorial explained in this article.
Industry professionals call this infection a "malware" virus, because of the way it installs a malicious software program onto your PC. These types of infections are quickly overtaking the traditional hidden viruses as the most common type of infection to install onto your PC. The only problem, however, is that getting rid of these fraudulent programs is a lot more difficult than many people first think. This virus will normally install itself from the likes of a Trojan Horse virus, fake email attachment or rogue download... and will post false results in order to scare you. To get rid of this particular infection, you need to be able to get rid of all the infected files that the program has on your PC, as well as then making sure it will not come back.

How to Setup Outlook in Windows 8?

Windows 8 has kept the emotions of old Windows users by keeping Microsoft Outlook in its latest version viz. Windows 8. Though Microsoft has introduced the live Metro-style Mail app, the webmail service to let users access their emails right from the live user interface with an active Internet connection, it has kept the famous, ages-old email client namely Microsoft Outlook to help users continue with the old style of email communication.
Microsoft Outlook 2013, also known as Outlook 15 is available as a component of the Microsoft Office 2013 suite and is also as a standalone downloadable program from the Microsoft website. When it comes to the look and feel, Microsoft has retained the old style. The client's setup procedure and screens are same as they are in Windows 7 or Vista etc. So users need not worry about anything at all, at least about dealing with difficulties when setting up Outlook 2013 for sending/receiving emails. It doesn't mean that the Outlook 2013 is an old wine in a new bottle. With the SkyDrive integration, Metro style user interface, live tiles, enhanced automation, and more advanced features, the Outlook 2013 is here to offer customers a completely new experience.
To be able to experience this change, you will need to set up Outlook 2013. This is what I am going to help you with. I have listed some steps here to help you set up Outlook 2013 without problems.
